Keeper Training at GSA

Hello Parents-

Campbell asked me to send out the goalkeeping training schedule. He has altered the schedule to even out the number of girls at each session. He asked that if your goal keeper(s) cannot go to the assigned session that they not go to another one – we simply have to many girls to allow movement.

5:20 – 5:50 - U9 and U10

5:50 – 6:30 - U11 and U12

6:30 -7:30 - U13 Red and White 14 ECNL Red and U14 white and U15 black

7:30- to 8:30 - U16 white, U17 white, U18 Red and White and U15 White

8:30 to 9:30 - U15-U18 ECNL

Hank Stebbins is the goal keeper coach for the Georgia State Women's team. He will be at GSA every Tuesday night . His bio is below. Please inform the goal keepers on your team.

Hank Stebbins begins his first year as graduate assistant coach to the Georgia State women's soccer team. Stebbins will primarily work with the Panthers' three goalkeepers while also assisting with usual coaching duties.

Prior to his arrival at Georgia State, Stebbins played with the United Soccer League's Vermont Voltage in 2008 and 2009. As goalkeeper, Stebbins went 10-1 in 2008 with the Voltage. During his time in Vermont, he also work as a goalkeepers coach.

A native of North Bend/Coos Bay, Ore., Stebbins played one year as goalkeeper at Doane College in Nebraska before transferring to the University of Indianpolis to finish out his collegiate soccer career in goal. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2008 with a bachelor's in political science and plans to attend the Georgia State University School of Law.

Update on Cobb Tournament

Hello Parents-

The rosters and schedules for the Cobb Tournament are posted on the website. Please note there is construction on 285 near the Chamblee Tucker exit this weekend so please allow additional travel time or take an alternate route.

Black Team parents: I need two volunteers to take the team bench and tent to each of the games this weekend. Please reply and let me know if you can do this. Your contact for this weekend is Renee Bryant, Cheyenne’s mom. Her cell phone number is 678-437-5704.

Please make sure that you check the tournament website or call the hotline if it rains this weekend to see if the games have been cancelled.

Player Photos, Cobb Waiver,

Hello Parents-

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early today so David Anderson can take your daughter's photo for her player pass before practice. He will have his camera set up at Crossroads to the left of the entrance gates. Please have them go to him when they arrive at the fields.

I will have a waiver form that I need each parent to sign tonight if your daughter is playing in the Cobb Tournament.

Soccer Updates-8/8

Hello Parents-

Here are a few updates for this week:

Team Website: www.gsa00girlsacademy.com

This website will contain all of the information that you will need to keep organized for the season. This site will be updated weekly so please go ahead and click through to get familiar. Under General: Team Home, there is a link for parents to post photos and information about themselves. Since we have a lot of new players, this is a great introduction for everyone. The player section will be updated by next week with new photos of the team.

Practice Schedule: please check the website weekly as practice times might change. This week we are practicing 5:30pm-7pm on Crossroads.

Uniforms: new uniform orders will be passed out tomorrow at practice. Practice shirts will be given next Tuesday at practice.

Training Fees: are due by August 10^th. Please either pay tomorrow at practice or via pay pal.

2011-2012 Goalkeeper Training

Goalkeeper Training (U9-U12) for the fall is Mondays at 6:00PM with John Harvey. He coaches at North Georgia College and is an ODP Staff Coach.
